Journal Club

All honours students are required to attend Journal Club as part of the Advanced coursework component of their Honours course. Journal club aims to provide an informal forum to discuss one scientific paper each week. The papers are generally chosen to highlight new advances in a field, critically review important older ideas, and to allow the audience to engage in scientific discussion and explore a topic chosen by each discussion leader.

Student Email

Every student enrolled at The University of Melbourne has a university email address assigned to them. It is important that students access this account – it will be the chief means of contact employed by the Department. Students will also be allocated an internal departmental email address (@optometry.unimelb.edu.au). Generally students set up their email so that all email addresses forward to the one account.

To find out how to do this, or to activate a unimelb account, please visit: https://home.student.unimelb.edu.au/ and follow the simple prompts, or call our LITE, Mr Mal White on 9349-7435, he will be happy to assist you.
